This post is an entry in Haiku Challenge for April 2012 at Haiku Heights.
April 19 Prompt - HoneyBees
It stings,it dies
Sweet and Selfless
Wish I was a Honeybee
The above Haiku is based on the fact
that even though the honeybee knows it will
die after it stings, it still stings.
April 18 Prompt - White
How bland
If life was pure white
Colors add spice
April 17 Prompt - Wonder
I sometimes wonder
How the hell I wonder
Isn't that wonderful
April 16 Prompt - Being
Its toughest
To remove the facade
Be yourself
April 14 Prompt - Aura
Walk in a way
That the Aura screams
Welcome the KING!!!
April 13 Prompt - Warmth
In the cold dark nights
The warmth of your touch
Ignites me
April 12 Prompt - Coherent
Coherence of lake
Incoherence of hurricane
Stems from water
April 11 Prompt - Possible
Is it even possible
To laugh your heart out
Without tears ?
April 10 Prompt - Summer
Boon for a few
Summer is bane for a few
Its the place that matters
April 9 Prompt - Seashore
Facing scary seas
Pushing back every single time
The shore stands tall
April 8 Prompt - Play
As kid I played
I still play now, but
the toys have changed
April 7 Prompt - Forgive

True that..! One of the toughest things to do sometimes!
good one .
Beautiful haiku...simple and sweet :)
Well done. It's tough but it's true. When you can forgive yourself, you can forgive the other.
There is nothing more pious and glorious than this.. forgiving oneself means one accepts one has erred..and this realisation makes the soul shine.. RS:)
A special haiku. The hardest to forgive is ourselves. Thank you..
So true, it's the only way to breathe
@Pranita - Yes, it is one of the toughest things to do.... Welcome to the blog :)
@Debu - Thanks and welcome to the blog :)

Self-forgiveness is an art!
Will She Forgive Us?
sweet and beautiful haiku!!
and completely agree with it!...though a little difficult to do...because its more difficult to accept the guilt! :D
lovely haiku ~ life ~ thanks, namaste, ^_^
And what ARE your toys now??? :)
The Christ Child at Play
@magical mystical teacher - Thanks !!! My toys now ? haha.. loads of them... too embarrassed to list here, but as written in my earlier haiku, I have forgiven myself for it :)
@ashzzes.. Thanks .. yes it is difficult to forgive..
@ArtmuseDog and Carol - Thanks :)
Very nice set ...
This is my Day 8 ~~ Waiting Their Turn.
I like all three of these. Well done.
Beautiful renditions all, Vikram :)
The first one has just exceeded syllable limits, I think making the first line of that haiku, "Facing scary seas" would solve that.
Thanks Leo. I have corrected the mistake
Lovely sense of inner strength filters through the seashore haiku!
I love the haiku on the prompt seashore very much. The one on summer is also lovely crafted.
Thank you for sharing.
Namaste
I am enjoying your haiku very much. Today's on summer gives us a truth. Summer is not the happy time for everyone. We must be grateful if it is a pleasure for us.
Summer and winter - the seasonal extremes can be a boon or a bane. Just being alive - our inner place is indeed what matters.
Very nice set....I didn't appreciate the sun when I live in the tropics...not that I am in Canada, I really look forward to it.
And I like forgiving ourselves...this is important to go on ~
Yes!...That's true....Summer is not the same for every person...Nicely penned
Day 9: There have been times when I was frightened of the sea too.
“Six Takes on ‘Seashore’”
Day 10: Lovely imagery.
Thanks Gemma :)
Thanks Chevrefeuilli
Thanks Elleecee for you comments :)
Thanks a lot Grace :)
Thanks Valli :)
Thanks magical mystical teacher :)
Yes, it's beautiful to wonder sometimes.. enjoy the wonderment..
The last line of Day 17 seems rather sarcastic. Or am I misreading it?
“The Way Goes On”
“A Dozen Wonders”
Well done. Loved reading this one.
April 17: I love the humor in this. Wonderful indeed.
Lol ~ Wonderful humor haiku ~ thanks, namaste, ^_^
Oh, yes, one can learn commitment to the purpose from Honyebees..you have said it well...
Magical lines on honeybees, loved it :)
I don't know that it dies if it stings....Learned new thing today....and beautiful haiku :)
Let me play devil's advocate for a moment: Does the bee really KNOW it will die if it stings, or is that supposed self-sacrifice just a genetic trait?
About honeybees: “First Light”
Magical Mystical Teacher - Hmm.. thats a tough question. Either way, I think that trait is something we humans can inculcate.
Interesting attempts at Haiku. I found the seashore one and bees one especially interesting.
Hey TF, thanks very much
